Saint Mary's Hurricane Relief Fund was established due in large to Hurricane Katrina that devastated the Gulf Coast on August 29, 2005.

It is a collaborative effort by Joe St. Clair and Donald Cropp who wanted to help. With the help of several members of the St. Mary's County Chamber of Commerce, and St. Mary's Parish, their efforts are now being recognized by St. Mary's County members.

The Charter meeting was held on 9/19/05 at Technology Security Associates, Inc.
